Privacy Policy
GymWeek (“we”, “us”) provides a fitness training app. This policy explains what data we collect, how long we retain it, how we use it, and how you can request deletion.
Data we collect
- Account: email, display name (when you register)
- Optional profile photo
- Training profile, workout plans, session logs, exercise history
- Habits and preferences, subscription entitlement (UX flag)
- Usage analytics and crash diagnostics
- Advertising identifiers when ads are shown
Third parties
- Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage (Google)
- Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google)
- Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple (when you choose those)
- Google AdMob (ads)
How we use data
To provide training plans, sync your data across devices when registered, show ads, measure product usage, diagnose crashes, and improve the product. Guests keep training data on-device only until they register.
Data retention
We store and retain user data as described below. We do not keep your account or training data indefinitely after you delete it.
- Guest users: training data stays only on your device. We do not store guest account data on our servers. It remains until you uninstall the app, clear app storage, or register and sync.
- Registered users: we retain account and training data (email, display name, profile, plans, session logs, exercise history, habits, subscription entitlement, optional profile photo) in Google Firebase for as long as your account stays active.
- Analytics and crash reports: Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collect usage and crash data while you use the app. Google retains Analytics events according to the project’s Analytics retention setting (up to 14 months). Crash reports are retained by Firebase Crashlytics under Google’s Crashlytics retention.
- Advertising: when ads are shown, Google AdMob may process advertising identifiers under Google’s advertising policies.
- Store billing: Google Play and the App Store retain purchase records under their own policies. We keep subscription entitlement status while your account is active.
- After deletion: we delete your account data from our Firebase project within 30 days of an in-app deletion or an approved email request. Backup copies may remain for a short extra period until they expire.
How to request deletion of your data
You can request deletion of your personal data at any time. There is an in-app process and an email process.
- Registered accounts (in-app): open Profile in GymWeek and tap Delete account, then confirm. This deletes your Firebase Auth account and cloud data, and clears local data on that device.
- Registered accounts (email): write to [email protected] from the address linked to your account. Use the subject “GymWeek account deletion”. We process email requests within 30 days.
- Guest users: uninstall GymWeek or clear the app’s storage on your device. Guest data is not stored on our servers.
More detail is on our account deletion page.
